If bringing food, clothing and other supplies directly to Huntsville’s homeless camps is something you've thought about doing, think again. There are a better ways to help the homeless by working through local agencies. Help reduce trash by giving cash. #CashBeatsTrash
After a Community Homeless Audit was held on January 21 and 22, 2021, we learned that #CashBeatsTrash is still true when it comes to serving Huntsville's homeless.
A Community Forum on Resources and Services for the Homeless will be held on January 22, 2021 at 6:30PM at the Downtown Rescue Mission. For safety, the forum will also be presented via Zoom. To register for Zoom, go to https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJYpfuGorjssHtw5I4JyuW8zv8jhPTecTo0b
They say hind sight is 2020. And that has certainly been true this year! We have seen challenges, tragedy, and miracles. At ELM, we believe in miracles--big ones and little ones. We are grateful to everyone who was part of our miracles this year--our sponsors, our community partners, and our all those who have reached out to connect and collaborate to meet community needs. We can't wait to see what's possible in 2021.
