Pathway to Sustainability Grant Cycle NOW OPEN

The Pathway to Sustainability Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, was established in 2021 to provide grant funding for Madison County direct social service organizations who focus on their mission, collaborate to leverage resources, and track client outcomes. In January 2021, TVA and Huntsville Utilities announced a major gift of $100,000. This gift was matched dollar-for-dollar by the Cintel Gives Fund. The donation totaling $200,000 provides grants to local nonprofit organizations who participate in a year-long cohort.

The ELM Foundation created the Pathway to Sustainability model to help nonprofit organizations move our community's most vulnerable citizens from crisis to self-reliance to abundance as they utilize intentional collaboration, intense case management, and accountability.

Using inspiration from change models in other communities, ELM created the Pathway to Sustainability program with input from local organizations. ELM facilitates this 12-month, application-based program. The program requires buy-in and participation of an organization's leadership, staff members, and Board members. It is designed to help organizations intentionally focus their efforts based on mission, expertise, and experience, and track outcomes to prove the efficacy of their programs. After participating in the program, we believe organizations will better serve their clients, reduce duplication of services, leverage community resources, and track outcomes for the benefit of their clients, their generous donors, and other organizational stakeholders.
