Did you know that over 30% of annual giving takes place between December 1 and December 31 every year? And 12% of it happens in the last three days of the year! December really is the season for giving! #Giving Tuesday was created to celebrate global generosity and we have never had cause to celebrate more than we have this year. Tuesday December 1, 2020 is this year's day to remember the great good that has been done in this challenging year by so many nonprofits who have blessed lives, healed communities, and made life better for all of us in a very difficult time. We are fortunate to have a network of over 200 nonprofits, community organizations, churches and corporations in Madison County Alabama who are collaborating to transform our community. Today's CharityTracker dashboard shows more than 39,000 people have received over 93,000 "acts of kindness" resulting in almost $4.7 million in assistance. And that's just in one county! Think about the good that so many organizations are doing all over the world. You can celebrate #GivingTuesday on December 1 by donating to a cause you care about, volunteering to help an organization that is doing good in your community, or find other ways to safely give one on one and with others. Your gift makes a difference but it will make a special difference in a year of unusual need. It's also great therapy in a time of uncertainty. Thanks for giving!
Giving Tuesday Update 12/7/20 Thanks so everyone who helped us reach our #GivingTuesday goal! We had 13 donors who contributed $1330.
