February may be the month of love, but at ELM, we feel that love year-round! This month, we are sharing heartfelt reflections from some of the amazing people who make our mission possible—participants, volunteers, supporters, and board members. Their words capture why they believe in our work and what makes the ELM mission worth loving!
Ariel, ELM participant – The ELM mission turns hope into action. As a Little Miracle Grant recipient, I experienced firsthand how meaningful support can remove barriers and open doors to opportunity.
Spencer, ELM participant - The ELM grant has increased what I thought was possible for myself and my future. The journey hasn’t been easy, but incredibly worth it for me and my family.
Chezare, ELM participant - I am truly thankful for this opportunity to learn and improve my skills. Thank you for believing in me. I feel like 2026 is going to be a great year for me!
Chrisandrew, former ELM participant – I am eternally grateful for the opportunities that ELM provided me through an education grant. My life has truly changed because I now have a degree, love my full-time job, and can care for my family.
Karyn, ELM volunteer – As a volunteer with ELM, it’s amazing being part of a mission that truly believes in creating 'little miracles,' valuing accountability, and investing in people’s potential. I also really appreciate the way ELM collaborates with the broader Huntsville community, working alongside other nonprofits, local leaders, and compassionate volunteers to amplify impact.
Patti, ELM volunteer - ELM’s model doesn’t just hand out resources, ELM guides, counsels, and provides personal individual support to ensure the individual meets their goals and are successful. ELM is focused on helping the community and all social nonprofits by providing True Charity and CharityTracker training. A true commitment to helping more people help themselves!
Meagan, ELM supporter – Alpha Foundation loves supporting ELM because of their incredible commitment to developing leaders who deeply understand and invest in the needs of our community's nonprofits.
Donna, ELM board member – I love that ELM helps individuals meet their education and career goals, which gives them the blessing of self-reliance! Being on the ELM Board has made me much more aware of the many services in our community and how blessed we are to be a part of a community so willing to serve. I love the example and dedication of my fellow Board members!
These messages represent just a few of the many people who allow us to fulfill the ELM mission. Thank you all for being part of our community and for the love you bring to this work. Together, we're changing lives and making a difference, one person at a time.
